At the Sewing Lair we run various classes, workshops, and social groups to encourage people to learn new skills and create with purpose. Most of our sessions are run by volunteers. Our classes and workshops follow a more structured format and our community and social groups are opportunities to practise new skills, form new friendships and utilise the resources available to you in the Sewing Lair.
The Sewing Lair is run entirely by volunteers from Sewing for Charity Australia and as a registered charity all funds raised from classes, groups, op shop and handmade emporium go directly to paying for the rent and upkeep of the property. Any remaining funds are used in our charity and community projects across Australia
